Employee0 FORM E-0 · REV. 2026
§ 0 — Preamble · Agreement No. 0 · Effective upon reading

Work, reconstructed from scratch.

Why do we compensate people for tasks, platforms and admin burden — instead of the mindset and values needed to evolve? Employee0 is a venture advisory rethinking the exchange of time for the exchange of value.

Basis of agreement
Based on accretive value for all.

§ 1

The Parties

This agreement is entered into by anyone who shapes, studies, finds, funds or reports on work.

1.1

Small businesses

Build teams around capability, not headcount and overhead.

1.2

Jobseekers

Be valued for the mindset you bring, not the forms you fill in.

1.3

Government officials

Design programs that reward shared benefits and adaptability.

1.4

Journalists

Examine how work is measured, and whom the measurements serve.

1.5

Policymakers

Shape the rules that decide what work is worth.

1.6

Enterprise leaders

Align technology, talent and value — without adding admin.

1.7

Academic institutions

Help researchers put their expertise to work — and be valued fairly for it, wherever they apply it.

Within the institution Teaching, research and running the university.
Half in, half out Partnerships, joint roles and projects that bridge both worlds.
Beyond the institution Consulting, start-ups, policy advice and public work.
§ 2

Recitals

Where this comes from.

WHEREAS Joshua Schwebel’s The Employee turned an exhibition contract into the artwork itself — a work about the conditions of its own production: contracts, procurement systems, web forms, email and resumes;

WHEREAS Lucy Lippard placed art as the counterpoint to work;

WHEREAS international experience, diversity of thought, relations, network effects and trust compound in value;

NOW, THEREFORE, Employee0 rejects negative establishmentarianism — not institutions — and critiques the labour market from inside it. The irony is aimed at the system, never at the people or partners working within it.

§ 3

Terms of Compensation

3.1 — Currently compensated
Tasks
Platforms
Admin burden
Hours of time
3.2 — Proposed for compensation
Mindset
Values
Shared benefits
The capacity to evolve
3.3 — Governance

Success criteria are agreed by everyone the work affects.

Every change is tested against them.

The work is iterative. There is no fixed endpoint.

§ 4

Scope of Engagement

We discuss how to leverage technology to maximize talent and build value-aligned systems.

4.1

Advisory conversations

Structured sessions on where technology frees talent — and where it only adds administration.

4.2

Value-aligned systems

Rethinking how roles, incentives and tools reward shared benefits and evolution rather than time served.

4.3

Relations & network

Connecting people across sectors and borders, because trust and network effects compound.

§ 5

Execution

Every relationship starts with a form. This one ends in a conversation.
